ABOUT

Serious pump engineering should not require an enterprise rollout.

Floworx Lite exists because of a gap that is obvious to anyone who has done this work, and invisible from a software catalogue.

THE OBSERVATION

Pump selection is done in a chain of tools that were never meant to be a chain.

A manufacturer selector, a PDF curve, a spreadsheet, a viscosity calculator, a datasheet template. Each link is reasonable. The chain is not — and the two available answers are wrong for the same people. Spreadsheets are free, universal and slowly become an unfunded software project nobody owns.

SO WE BUILT THE NARROW THING

A workspace where the engineer owns the library and the work ends in a document.

Import what you already have, select against your own pumps, inspect the basis of the result, and produce something you can send. It is deliberately narrow: it does not model your piping network, it does not quote, and it does not publish a catalogue. Narrow is what makes it adoptable in an afternoon rather than a quarter.

PRINCIPLES

Four commitments the product is actually built on.

These are the rules that decide arguments internally, which is the only test of whether a principle is real.

Engineering clarity

Inputs, calculations and evidence should stay understandable to the professional making the decision.

Data ownership

A customer workspace controls the pump records it is authorised to use. Nothing is published, nothing is shared with another customer.

Operational restraint

The product should not claim capabilities, data, guarantees or automation it does not provide. If something is unknown, it says so.

Professional output

The result should be easier to review and to send than the pile of source files it replaces.

WHERE RESPONSIBILITY SITS

Responsibility stays with the engineer.

Floworx Lite supports calculation, comparison, inspection and documentation. It cannot validate every source curve, installation condition, material choice, motor decision, control strategy or safety requirement, and it does not pretend to. A qualified professional reviews and approves every recommendation before it is used.

FLOWORX AND FLOWORX LITE

Lite is a distinct product, not a window into another system.

It adapts the Floworx selection approach into a focused, self-serve product for smaller organisations, with its own application and its own data environment. If a manufacturer later needs a public, branded, customer-facing selector, that is a different Floworx product and a different conversation.

Bring in three pumps and run a real selection.

The Free plan is the real engineering product: your own private pump library, real duty points, real fluids, variable-speed analysis and the resolved operating point. No card and no sales call — start engineering right away.
