STEPS 1–2

Your pumps arrive as data, not as data entry.

Floworx Lite reads the sheet, detects columns, units and decimal convention, and shows you the import plan with diagnostics on anything ambiguous. You approve it before it becomes library data — then complete what a selection needs. Anything still missing is named, and the record stays a draft until it can genuinely support a result.

STEPS 3–4

State the duty as it really is, then run it against your own pumps.

Flow and head, with static head and NPSHa where they apply, in metric or US units at 50 or 60 Hz. Choose the working fluid — water, oil or an inhibited glycol mixture at its actual concentration and temperature — and the acceptance grade you are working to. Candidates come from your library and nowhere else, evaluated on the curve that applies.

STEP 5

This is the step where a candidate withstands review, or does not.

Summary for the resolved result. Chart for where the duty sits on the curve. Hydraulics for the operating basis and the corrected working fluid. Variable Speed for the solved speed family.

STEPS 6–7

Keep the decision, then hand it over.

Save the candidate with its duty, basis and context in a project, so the reasoning is still legible months later — a changed duty produces a new revision rather than replacing the old one.

AND THEN AGAIN

The loop is the point.

A changed duty, a corrected curve or a new constraint should send you back through review — not be hidden behind a document generated before the change. Going round again is cheap, and it is visible.
