FAQ

Straight answers, including the inconvenient ones.

Grouped in the order the work happens: bring your pumps in, build the library, select, inspect the engineering, export it — then plans, seats and data. If an answer here would be contradicted by the product on your first afternoon of use, it is the wrong answer and we want to know.

STARTING OUT

What it is, and how far you get without talking to anyone.

The shape of the thing, before the detail.

What is Floworx Lite?

A private pump engineering workspace. You bring your own pumps in, keep them in a multi-manufacturer library only you can see, select against a duty point, inspect the engineering behind the result, save and revise the work, and export professional output.

Who is it for?

Independent engineers, consultants, applications engineers, distributors, representatives, engineering firms, and small to midsize pump manufacturers who need a professional method without an enterprise programme.

Do I need to talk to anyone to start?

No. Start Free, create your workspace and begin. The human path exists for loading a full manufacturer range and for larger organisations — it is not a gate.

What is included in Free?

The real engineering product — selection, real fluids, variable speed, Intelligence and charts on screen — with up to three pumps in your library. Projects, saved selections and PDF downloads are on the paid plans.

How long before I get a real answer?

One pump and one duty. Adding a pump needs its frequency, pole count, published curve speed and a performance curve, and the workspace names anything still missing.

Is it the same as the main Floworx platform?

No. Lite is a separate application with its own data environment, adapted for a self-serve market. The broader Floworx platform covers manufacturer-facing, public and branded customer selection; Lite is deliberately internal and private.

IMPORT AND LIBRARY

Getting your pumps in, and keeping them yours.

Smart Excel Import is the front door, and the library behind it is private.

How do I bring my pumps in?

Upload the workbook your pumps already live in. Floworx Lite reads the sheet, detects the columns, units and decimal convention, and shows you an import plan — values, trims and curve points, with diagnostics on anything ambiguous — which you approve before it becomes library data. Records can also be created by hand.

Can I import Excel data?

Yes — structured .xlsx and .xls workbooks. What was read is checked back against your file, and you review the plan before anything lands in the library.

Does it read curve images or PDF catalogues?

No, and we will not imply otherwise. Import works from tabular pump data in a spreadsheet. Anything that only exists as a picture of a curve has to be entered by hand.

Can I use pumps from several manufacturers?

Yes. The library is yours and the brand mix is yours, provided you are authorised to use the data you enter.

Is my pump library private?

Yes. Records are scoped to your workspace and to the memberships and roles you authorise. There is no public catalogue and no cross-customer access.

Can I remove a pump I created by mistake?

Pump removal is not yet available in the product, so add pumps deliberately while your library is small — and contact us if you need one removed and we will take care of it.

FLOWORX INTELLIGENCE

Selection gives you the answer. Intelligence shows the engineering behind it.

Beside every selected candidate sits an inspector with four views: Summary for the resolved result, Chart for its position on the curve, Hydraulics for the operating basis and the corrected working fluid, and Variable Speed for the solved speed family. It is where a result stops being a number and becomes something you can defend in a review.

ENGINEERING

What the calculation will and will not do.

The behaviour that decides whether an engineering tool is usable.

Which curves can it work with?

The supported head, efficiency, power and NPSH data present in the pump record, including impeller trims where they are recorded. It does not invent curves that were never supplied.

Does it support real fluids?

Yes. Water, light oil and inhibited ethylene- or propylene-glycol/water mixtures, at your concentration and temperature, corrected point by point — with the published and the corrected basis labelled separately.

Does it support variable speed?

Yes. Additional duty points are solved for the speed they require, expressed against the published hydraulic curve speed and as an equivalent frequency, within the manufacturer’s stated speed limits, with performance corrected at each speed.

What happens if a duty cannot be achieved?

It is reported as not achieved. Nothing is clamped to the edge of the envelope and nothing is extrapolated beyond a curve’s valid domain to produce a number that looks like an answer.

What if the manufacturer never published NPSHr?

The result shows n/a. It never shows zero, and NPSHr is never corrected for fluid.

Can I work in metric and US units?

Yes, at 50 or 60 Hz. Confirm the unit basis before relying on a result — the workspace always shows which one is active.

Does the software choose the pump?

No. It calculates, compares and documents. The responsible professional reviews the evidence and makes the selection.

Is it a replacement for system-hydraulics software?

No. It does not model piping networks, transients or surge. Those are different tools answering different questions, and many engineers use both.

SAVING AND EXPORT

Getting the work back out again.

Engineering work that cannot leave the software is only half finished.

What can I export?

The Pump Data Sheet, the Performance Chart, and the Variable Speed Chart where a speed family was solved. Hydraulic curve data can also be exported from a pump’s own workspace. PDF downloads are on the paid plans.

Are the documents generated from the selection I reviewed?

Yes. The output is generated from the reviewed selection, so the chart, the numbers and the document all read from the same result.

Can I save and revise a selection?

Yes, on the paid plans. Projects keep the duty and the revision history, so a change of scope is a revision rather than a fresh start.

Can I put my organisation’s name on the output?

Yes. Data sheets carry your organisation’s name, which is one of the reasons small manufacturers and representatives use it internally.

Can I export my whole library?

Hydraulic curve export is available from a pump’s workspace. A full library export is not yet a published capability — tell us if you need one and we will be straight with you about where it stands.

PLANS AND BILLING

What each plan contains, and who bills you.

Current prices are always on the pricing page, read live from the catalog.

Can I download PDFs on Free?

No. The Pump Data Sheet, Performance Chart and Variable Speed Chart require Individual or Team.

What do I get with Individual?

A single user, an unlimited pump library, Projects, saved selections with revisions, and all three documents.

Can Individual add seats?

No. Individual is a single-user plan and additional seats are not available on it. Shared access is what Team is for.

How does Team seating work?

Team includes three seats in one shared workspace. Additional seats are available at the per-seat price published on the pricing page.

Is there a free trial?

No — there is a free plan. It does not expire and it does not require a card.

What is a complimentary account?

An account granted by Floworx through the admin portal for a specific reason. It is not purchasable, does not appear in the public catalog, and cannot be upgraded, downgraded or converted by the account holder.

Who bills me?

Floworx Lite is operated and billed by Stanley Fisher LLC, the merchant of record. Card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored by Floworx.

DATA AND ACCESS

Where your data lives and who can reach it.

Stated conservatively, and only where we can back it.

Who owns the data I enter?

You do. You are also responsible for having the right to enter it — Floworx Lite is built for data your organisation is authorised to use.

Can several people share a workspace?

Yes, on the Team plan, using the included and any additional seats.

Can manufacturers use it internally?

Yes, and that is one of the intended uses: a private company library, professional internal selection, and data sheets carrying your organisation’s name. Talk to us before loading a full range.

What security certifications do you hold?

None that we can claim, and we will not imply otherwise. What we can state is how access is scoped, that browsing uses essential session and preference storage only, and that no advertising or analytics tracker is used on this site.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. The Privacy Policy sets out how account deletion works and what happens to the data in your workspace.

STILL UNANSWERED

If your question is not here, it is a fair question.

Ask it directly and you will get the same kind of answer as the ones above — including where the product does not do something yet. We would rather lose a signup than win one on a claim that falls apart in your first week.

Bring in three pumps and run a real selection.

The Free plan is the real engineering product: your own private pump library, real duty points, real fluids, variable-speed analysis and the resolved operating point. No card and no sales call — start engineering right away.
